Maya is 12 1/2 mths and she finally stood at the table by herself. Her nana has been very consistent and determined to get Maya to stand, crawl or anything. My sister Carrie has been very determined to get her to roll over. Finally, I put her up to the table and walked in the other room and she was still standing with no one behind her. My baby is growing up. (Weep, weep). I am ready for another baby!!! Relax--not going to happen, can't and won't.

HALLOWEEN

(This is at Bekah's friends Halloween Party)

Can I just say I am so excited for Halloween to be over!!! Bekah's friend had a party for some families, I think there were 100 people -90 kids. But that was a week before Halloween, so all the costumes were out for a week. Tried on, pulled off, pulled on, pulled off...I don't know how many times I put the costumes up. Then Halloween, the sugar, and the time change...oh my gosh they have been bouncin off the walls.

Davis was King Arthur (a Knight) for school and a Grasshopper for trick-or-treating. The hopper costume was a size 2. I don't know if you can tell with the head but his cheeks are pretty tight...but he was so warm.

Spencer was a Power Ranger. I had the red costume from yrs ago for dress up and thank goodness I talked him in to it because he seemed very convinced he was going to be a blue Power Ranger.

Rebekah was a witch for her party and then was a Harlequin Jester for Halloween. Of course, I had to overnight the costume, but she looked darling. And she was happy.

Rebekah, Spencer and Davis on our way to go trick -o- treating.

Maya celebrated her first birthday earlier this month. What a funny one year old we have. She still is of the opinion that mom, dad or siblings have to do everything for her. No interest in walking when she can be shuttled around, no crawling, again why would you want to crawl when mom and dad will carry you wherever you want to go ( it just might cost you a little screaming). For that matter why roll over someone will roll you if you cry about it long enough. She definitely knows what she wants, not like her older brother who knows what he wants and will refuse any assistance from anyone. My what opposite extremes we have here. As you can see Maya loved her birthday cake especially with her feet.
I took her to her one year old doctor appt. The doctor said she has definately improved in percentage of weight but not so much in height. Her weight has gone from 3 to 40% and her height from 5 to 25%. I told the doctor, that I did not know where those gene possibly could have come from. (Looks like Bekah will be the only one with some of the Grant's height.) Oh! But she is a delight. Best and most sweet personality. She loves to wave by by.

We finally made it to Jackson Wyoming to go see nanna and Gramps. It was a great time to go up the leaves were changing and there the beauty could not be beat. We drove around the park and got out to see all the sites. Perhaps the most impressive site was a large elk sitting off the side of the road as we passed. We also got to see an osprey fishing. In all it was a good trip. The top picture is the kids at Jackson Lake lodge, and the second is at hidden falls after a fun ride on the boat across Jenny Lake.

Purpose

Jeremy said that I need to start to do this. I don't know what to write as I have never been at a lose for words. I guess it is just to be more of a journal to remind me of how wonderful and hectic life is. Who knows how often I will do this? It seems every time I sit at the computer, Davis comes running to play Bionicle games on it or Spencer wants me to go ride a bike.
It just seems that life is passing by daily, weekly, yearly without me jotting down these treasured and hopefully mpt forgotten moments. Maybe with writing it down I will be able to remember them years down the road.
